Knowledge and skills to make informed life choices

Christian Education in Schools (CEIS) provides our students with the knowledge and skills to make informed life choices; whether it be related to caring for their friends, expressing their feelings or sharing their beliefs and ideas.

It is a community based program with passionate and knowledgeable volunteers who foster a sense of belonging and commitment to a set of beliefs held in high regard by those families whose children participate.

The activities sound fun and are delivered in a supportive and engaging way

My three daughters attend Christian Education (CEIS) at Hughes Primary School.

The sessions are eagerly anticipated by the girls and their friends who elect to attend. CEIS is age appropriate, and relevant to significant events/celebrations in the Christian Calendar.

The activities sound fun and are delivered in a supportive and engaging way.

Thank you to the educators for providing sessions that enhance my children’s Christian education and learning in this way.

A really well-run program

“I love the fact that my children have access to a really well-run program which they not only enjoy participating in but which reiterates the values and beliefs we teach at home.

It is encouraging for them to see that there are other kids in the school or even in their class who either believe or are interested in Christianity and gives them confidence in sharing their faith with their friends.”

Volunteer Testimonial

It is a privilege to be a volunteer-participant with CEIS, not only by sharing Christian knowledge and experience but in self-development as an outcome of the teaching-learning strategies used by the very professional CEIS staff.

Following their interest-catching introduction each term, essential support is then provided by volunteers who help pupils explore some Christian concepts associated with the chosen theme.

CEIS sessions incorporate current pedagogy and are a great opportunity for school children to become more aware of the Christian faith.

Valuable link into our local community

CEIS provides a valuable link into our local community (our church meets in one of the schools) and allows us the great opportunity to teach local children about Jesus and His love for them.

As a pastor it's a real joy to go into schools with fellow church members and watch them grow and interact with kids of all ages and stages as they hear about Jesus, sometimes for the very first time!

CEIS is Bible-soaked and well-resourced for communicating what life is all about to our next generation.
